TEMPERATURE-SENSITIVE SHIPMENTS NEED CAREFUL PROTECTION EVEN in LIGHT version
la COUVERTURE Light version
la COUVERTURE light version, version has been developed to make the solution for the user easier to handle.
This version, lighter than the standard version of 25 kg, makes the handling of the upper part of the cover much more manageable, both, during its positioning and during disassembly.
This version is very suitable for protections on the tarmac instead of warehouse activities.
PROTECTION FOR TEMPERATURE-SENSITIVE SHIPMENTS
Temperature-sensitive shipments need to be protected from temperature variations to avoid critical damage to the product during the airport handling phase, especiallyon the airfield.
la COUVERTURE is designed specifically for cargo airport needs to protect temperature-sensitive shipments from temperature variations in extreme climate conditions – hot or cold – from the airport cargo warehouse all the way to the apron area.
La Couverture is designed to protect Lower decks ULDs and is available in PMC and PAJ sizes.
Sustainable
Several parts of la Couverture are made from recycled PET bottles and all parts are reusable.
Compared to active thermal protections such as thermal dollies and refrigerated trucks, our solution is not producing any CO2 and does not have maintenance costs. This is a sustainable equipment that will help you to reach zero CO2 emissions.
Easy to use & robust
Standard thermal covers are very light and designed to be placed under the ULD net. Multiple uses of these covers by airport handling can result in damage to the covers, which then need to be changed after a few months.
la COUVERTURE comes in lower deck size: the Velcro sewn on the top of la COUVERTURE makes the height of the product adjustable. The different materials used make it robust and washable.

la COUVERTURE is composed of 2 parts: the top and the side. Both are joined by several Velcro strips all around the ULD
TEST
We tested la COUVERTURE light by subjecting it to a realistic summer scenario with direct sunlight. To make the test even more extreme, we put the product (thermal mass) at +20° C reducing the range from +20°C to +25°C. We have achieved thermal protection of up to 3 hours.
For the winter scenario we exposed La Couverture light to extreme external temperatures.
To make the test even more stressing, we put the product (thermal mass) at +20° C reducing the range from +20°C to +15°C. We have achieved thermal protection of up to 2 hours.
